CHALLENGE

With more than 40 commercial sites, the property manager wanted to lower costs while improving their exterior lighting at their premium shopping location, a vibrant waterfront dining and outdoor market destination in the South Shore town of Hingham, Massachusetts.

SOLUTION

The property manager asked Aetna Corp. to identify energy-saving opportunities. We developed a customized LED upgrade for parking lot lighting (decorative acorns, poles, bollards), signage, in-ground, and canopy lighting. During the inspection, our electrician also found decorative fixtures swaying in strong waterfront winds and provided preventative maintenance to prevent failures and reduce liability.

RESULTS

Over the course of one year, several nor’easters, caused damage to this property lighting. Aetna Corp.’s crew removed ninety-three 295 Watts metal halide shoebox fixtures and replaced them with ninety-three 71 Watts LED Fixtures, which resulted in a return on investment in just three and a half years.
